When should I replace cracked concrete?

Alliance's concrete repair services can replace cracked concrete like this

Concrete that’s in good condition will be the most resistant to damage. Cracks and holes in concrete can lead to unevenness, which is a safety risk for everyone that uses it.

In a business or home setting, new concrete provides much more curb appeal than cracked and broken concrete.

In addition, concrete surfaces serve many purposes and one of them is support the weight placed on top of it. If the concrete is damaged, there will be a reduction in this functionality, which can lead to more serious issues in time.

Why is my concrete sinking?

Many concrete problems are caused by the concrete settling unevenly. This places stress on the concrete, causing cracking.

Most likely, the concrete was originally poured onto soil that was not optimal and/or poorly compacted.

Erosion also might have played a role. If your yard does not slope away from the building, the water can pool and become stagnant around the concrete. The water can then intrude into the concrete and cause shrinkage and cracking when the ground and water freeze.

If the cracking caused by settlement isn’t severe enough to necessitate replacing the concrete, our concrete lifting services can remove the tripping hazards and, while not repairing the cracks, at least make them less unsightly.
